I just have to go back to the 70’s for a minute—remember the sign that people got all outraged about? NO SHIRT NO SHOES NO SERVICE? Of course you do, because it’s still everywhere. Do you have any children in the public school system? If so, you probably remember the vaccine card that follows them to every class.

Do you have a scar on your upper arm from the polio vaccine? If not, it’s because that disease was ERADICATED entirely due to vaccines.

I’m not directly in this custody battle that is the heart of your story, so I can’t comment. But I can comment on the general hypocrisy of a group screaming ‘IM A FREE CITIZEN AND CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT’ who don’t realize that freedom is contingent upon your realization that you can do whatever you want UNTIL your choices bleed over to me.

I’m vaccinated and I wear a mask. But I also have MS, which means immunocompromise is a part of my life. Don’t bleed a misunderstood concept of ‘freedom’ over onto me.
